My Dad, a special Dad

Dad we have no words to express the moment we received the news of ERIN WO! AJANAKU SUBU WU LE!! IROKO GONE!!!. It was unbearable. It’s often said that the world is a stage my dad Hon. Dominic Okadili Ojei played his part; as son, devoted husband, loving dad, indulgent granddad as well as a great granddad

He was a very caring father sensitive to the tiniest of his family's needs and desires. To the world he was more than just a sincere and honest person, the integration of straightforward- ness with his well meaning personality earned him the utmost regard in society. To his voluminous friends and associates in the Western, Northern, Eastern, Southern part of Nigeria he was BABA ETO - the : link, connector, organizer etc, as my dad used his political, professional, federal might influence to get people known and unknown to him into various prestigious places institutions of higher learning in Nigerian and various places of employment,.

Dad you will never be forgotten, consistent counseling filled with affection has touched us deeply, molding and shaping the developmental years of our life without curbing our inherent inclinations. Thanks for the care and love you have bestowed, the understanding and support you have extended for whatever best we could achieve. Dad you were a loving husband (who meant the whole world to my mom).
Dad was a very affectionate father, grandfather and a great grand- father. He has been and will always remain a beacon of light for us, guiding us through the treacherous passage of life. He was a man of fine taste, never composed anything however was a dance teacher for many years, had great love for music, dance and poetry. He loved sports and enjoyed playing long Tennis in his younger years. By nature he was a carefree person, with a very good sense of humor.
He was a man of principles through- out his career, as a civil servant, politician, enterpre, consultant; he stood tall for the righteous cause and never bowed to unscrupulous pressure. We feel honored and privileged, blessed and much honored to have him as our Dad.

Dad you will always be remembered as a caring and affectionate husband, father, grandfather and also a great grandfather. He had an influence on all of our lives. And having him leave us was the most tragic thing we had to face as a family. We recall from our childhood and adulthood memories a very sincere, honest, straightforward, sensitive and well meaning person. I wish there were more people like him around and this world would be a better place. Dad was a philantrist, a sower; he was larger than life, a legend. He left a huge legacy behind that we pray that God will help us to follow his footsteps.
Baaaami, Oluomo, Igi –Araba, owa di oju ala, odi arin nako Agu ta aso lo. Omo okuri ogun, Sun re baaaami.
May God grant your giant loving soul a paradise where eternal peace reigns supreme (Amen).
You love dad. Ugonna Abosede Ojei –Ogbue.
