MY TRIBUTE TO PAPA.

Our father, Domnic Okadili Ojei was always known as Papa. He was born on March 18, 1924 in Kassa, in Northern Nigeria (in the present Plateau State). Papa’s parents were Jacob Benyeogo Ojei, and Lydia Nwanua Ojei.

Papa was a hero, and a very responsible man who loved and cared for his family. He was a disciplinarian. He worked with Mines and Power Department from 1951 to 1979 and retired honorably. He started work with a German company – Strabag-Bau AG and later he started his own company, Ojei and Associates, in Okebola, Ibadan.But from around 2013, he stopped going to work in his company as age was beginning to tell.

I thank God for Papa's life. He lived a good life and achieved much and we must thank God for this. Papa’s way of life influenced my life a lot; it was from him I learnt how to wake up early and start the day punctually. They say that the early bird catches the worm. He was always punctual to wherever he went - to work, meetings, weddings, etc. He was also saying that punctuality is the soul of business.I pray that his soul will rest in peace.

I also observed that he was always made the chairman of occasions because of the leadership qualities people found in him. Thank God, for Papa. He trained all his children. We will miss Papa.

Adieu, PAPA!!! MAY HIS GENTLE SOUL REST IN PEACE.
