"Papa Ibadan", we fondly called you. Even when I came to visit you at Ibadan to let you know I was getting married, regardless of my age at the time, you still gave me money. You had a very kind heart, yet very stern. We never left yours​ and mama's presence empty handed. My siblings and I were always overjoyed when an opportunity came to visit "papa and mama Ibadan." We all had nick names from you. You and mama pampered us so much, yet disciplined us. I know that Papa Ibadan is resting in the bossom of the Almighty. Your legacy will never be forgotten.
